Sheldon thought about this. "I think I'm starting to get it, Dad."

George sighed. "Just thinking about my dad, Sheldon's great-grandfather. He was a football coach, you know."

Sheldon sat down at the kitchen table. "I'm trying to understand you better, Dad. But sometimes I feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick."

George nodded. "Yeah, and he was tough on me when I was a kid. But I realize now, he was just trying to prepare me for life."

"What's on your mind, Dad?" Sheldon asked, noticing the distant look in George's eyes.

George smiled. "Just having a heart-to-heart with Sheldon."
