The BD5 version looks crisp – you catch all the little details: Sheldon’s pocket protector, the wood-paneled walls, and the glorious '80s clutter. Just re-watched from the BD5 rip – and honestly, this might be the most quietly important episode of the first season. 🖥️🍺

Sheldon becomes obsessed with building his own "supercomputer" (a Texas Instruments-99/4A, for the nerds out there) to run Hammurabi , a primitive economics game. When he realizes he doesn’t have the money, he starts doing other people’s homework for cash – pure, unregulated capitalism from a 9-year-old. Mary’s horrified. George Sr. is oddly proud. And the final scene with Sheldon alone in his room, booting up that computer, is weirdly triumphant.
