Logline: A rigid, old-school Tamil patriarch must move in with his estranged, ultra-liberal son in San Francisco, only to discover that the son he tried to “fix” is the one who will teach him how to truly live.

Hurt, Vikram storms out and gets lost on BART. His phone dies. He ends up in a working-class part of Oakland, where no one speaks Tamil. For the first time, he is powerless. A young Latinx street vendor helps him, asking nothing in return. Vikram has a quiet breakdown.
