The next morning, Priya didn’t come to school. When Lena texted her, the message bounced back: Number not recognized. She checked the yearbook. Priya’s photo was gone. In its place, a gray silhouette labeled “No data.”

Lena woke up on her bedroom floor. The laptop was cold. Her phone buzzed. Priya: “Hey. Weird dream. You were standing on a boat made of light.”

She typed a different name. “Lena Vasquez.” The Ark hesitated. Then, for the first time, it seemed to ask a question instead of demanding a price: “You would unmake yourself?” She typed back: “No. I’d make myself the witness you wanted. Not a passenger. A door.” unblocked ark

The next morning, she walked into school and the hallway went silent. Not hostile—reverent. People she’d never spoken to said her name like a hymn. “Lena.
