When Metro Exodus launched, it was an Epic Games Store exclusive (a controversial move) and used Denuvo Anti-Tamper. Denuvo is notorious for causing stuttering, increasing load times, and degrading SSD health due to constant read/write cycles. The cracked versions—especially the DODI repack—remove Denuvo.
