As the kid scanned the QR code, Jean looked at his phone. The software dashboard showed a green, upward line. Revenue up 40%. Stress down 100%.

Jean took a deep breath. He built the estimate in GarageFlow. He attached a photo of her corroded carburetor. He added a video explanation: “Sophie, see this jet? It’s oval. That’s why it’s sputtering.”

It had bought back his weekends.

He walked over to his own project bike – a 1974 Honda CB450 – covered in dust. For the first time in years, he realized he could afford to finish it. The software hadn’t just saved his business.

“It works,” Jean grumbled, erasing a number for the third time.

And that, he thought, as he finally kicked over the Honda’s engine, was the sweetest sound of all.
