A friend had once messaged her: “Kostenlos 2020 Complete Python Bootcamp: From Zero to Hero in Python — Jose Portilla.” At the time, Lena had ignored it. “Kostenlos” meant free, and free usually meant worthless.
And in the footer of her new coding blog, she placed a line of Python:
Jose’s voice filled her tiny apartment. “Welcome to the Complete Python Bootcamp. You don’t need any previous experience. Just curiosity.”
Her freelance work had vanished overnight. No weddings meant no album designs. No cafes meant no loyalty card illustrations. She was, in every sense of the German word, untouched — and unemployed.
She passed.
