The writers smartly avoid the "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" trap. These guys don't have fancy coffee shops. They have a leaking roof, a warden who hates them, and a mess that serves "paneer" that tastes suspiciously like potato. Where Season 3 differs is its tone.
