The movie follows Gabbar's plan for revenge and the cat-and-mouse game that ensues between him and Ajay Singh.

The story revolves around Gabbar (played by Akshay Kumar), a dreaded dacoit (bandit) who was thought to have been killed by the police. However, he survives and seeks revenge against the police officer, Ajay Singh (played by Sandeep Dutta), who had put him behind bars.
