Just grabbed the BD25 release of El Presidente S01E01 . Quality is solid – proper AVC encode with DTS-HD MA audio. Bitrate hovers around 25-30 Mbps on the disc, so no macroblocking in the darker scenes (looking at you, web-dl versions).
The premiere introduces Sergio Jadue, a small-town club president who gets pulled into the massive corruption scandal at the heart of Chilean football (and later, FIFA). It’s sharp, fast-paced, and surprisingly darkly funny.
